Hi! We're from headquarters and we're here to help!
We've put answers to several frequently asked questions below. If your
questions aren't answered here, use the feedback form on the right and we'll
get right back to you.
Why PLUQ?
-
What's so unique about PLUQ?
-
PLUQ is the easiest way to collaborate and make decisions with your friends.
It's hard to pick dates and plan events over email and each additional person or couple you add to the
process makes it that much harder.
We join conversation with calenders, surveys, documents and links to web sites so that you can
understand what's going on easily--without fishing through tons of email. PLUQ puts it all in one place.
-
Can't I just do this with email?
-
Email is great for some things, but planning isn't really one of them.
Getting busy people to agree on a date is hard with email. Using PLUQ, everyone
puts in their date preferences and we keep a running summary of the best dates.
Once you've got everyone's input, just hit Decide and everyone gets notified about
the selected date.
If you get tons of email every day, it's great to be able to
cut to the chase and see what the decision was instead of fishing through your email for
scattered bits of information.
-
What about a group or a forum or a blog?
-
Groups, forums and blogs do some of what we do, but we think it's a lot more work.
Each event you plan on PLUQ acts like a full fledged group site in those other solutions, but
with much less overhead to get started.
We've made starting a conversation as easy as sending an email. Try it and see!
Collaborating
-
Where does PLUQ work best?
-
We don't want to limit your thinking and creativity, but in general PLUQ is best
for collaborative conversations with groups of people where email tends to bog down.
The collaboration can be simple; pick a dinner party date, or choose a book club book.
They can also be complex; pick a set of finishes for a kitchen remodel, select a
set of travel destinations and choose hotels.
-
How do I use PLUQ to pick a date for an event?
-
It's easy. Just create a new event and include the Date Picker widget.
Everyone you invited to the conversation can then highlight dates on the calendar
that are the best for them. We automatically track the dates that works best
for the group as the input is gathered.
Once you've got everyone's input, just hit the Decide button and send an announcement
to everyone.
-
What are tags?
-
Tags are labels you can use to help you find your events later. Only you see your tags.
Examples of common tags would be things like personal, vacation, work, research,
or travel.
You can apply tags from within the event or you can use the advanced search tab to apply
tags to multiple events at once.
-
What does it mean to archive an event?
-
Archiving is a feature that takes events out of the list that you
see when you select the Events tab. The events still exist, but they
won't come up in the list or in default searches.
You can still find information you might want in archived events by using the Advanced Search tab.
Advanced Search will also also let you restore archived events.
Email
-
How does PLUQ integrate comments with email?
-
We send comments out to everyone by default. In turn, responses to those emails will be
logged as comments, then sent over email.
-
What's in the daily digest?
-
We'll send you a summary once a day of all the activity in your events. So when people
pick dates, or answer survey questions, we'll tell you who did what to whom. If
you choose not to receive comments over email, we'll include the comments in your digest also.
-
How do I turn off email?
-
Just go to the email section in settings and uncheck
all the boxes.
